Methamidophos and acephate are a pair of twin brothers in the family of organophosphate insecticides . Methamidophos belongs to the highly toxic pesticide LD50 (lethal to moderate) rats with an acute oral port of 21 mg/k. The oral LD50 of acephate was 945 mg/kg, the rabbit dermal LD50 was 2000 mg/kg, and the beagle was administered 1000 mg/kg every day for 1 year. No lesions were found; chicks were LD50.
