The method for testing the function of the air breathing apparatus is the functional inspection method commonly used before and after the air breathing apparatus is used and when it is not detected, and it can be applied as appropriate.
(1) Full Cover Airtightness Check
Fit the full face mask correctly on the head, then use the palm of your hand to cover the interface of the full face mask and air supply valve (or connect the air supply valve and full face cover, but the air supply valve does not supply air), slowly inhale, full face mask The lens moves toward the human body and is tightly attached to the face, indicating that the full-face mask has good airtightness.
(2) Determination of leak location
When checking the air tightness of the air breathing apparatus air supply system, it can be determined from the pressure indication value whether the air supply system is leaking, but it is not possible to determine where the air leakage is. In order to determine the air leakage position, two methods can be used:
a. Apply soap foam at suspicious locations at each connection or place where air leaks are found. This is where the air leak occurs. It can be handled until airtight. Then wipe clean soap foam so as not to erode the surface of the part.
b. When conditions allow, dip into the water at the joint or the suspicious air leak. If there is a continuous air bubble, it is the leak location. After the air leak is eliminated to ensure airtightness, the immersed parts shall be wiped clean, air dried or dried.
(3) Positive pressure check of air supply
Wear an air-ventilator and breathe normally. Between the full face mask and the person's face, open a slit. You will feel the flow of air from the mask to the ambient atmosphere, and you will also hear the “flowing” air flow. Sound, close this gap, so that the full face mask and the person's face fit well, and will not feel the above phenomenon. Repeated several times, there will be the same phenomenon. Air respirator must be stored in an environment away from dust, light, non-chemical corrosion and hazardous substances, and the ambient temperature is between 5 and 35°C and the relative humidity is not more than 80% in a dry warehouse.
2, storage
The air respirator should be stored in the packing box. The full-face cover should not be squeezed. The high-pressure and medium-pressure pipes should avoid bending the small garden arc. The pressure case should not be pressurized. The air respirator must be clean and dry. At the time of storage, the cylinder should contain compressed air at a pressure of 0.5 to 1 MPa.
