Sugarcane Leaf Power Project Laid Foundation in Liucheng yesterday

“What? Sugar cane leaves can also generate electricity? Nothing!” said Liu Yuanli, a sugarcane farmer in Mashan Town, Liucheng County, who is burning sugar cane leaves in the sugarcane field. He heard that he was surprised and shook his head. It is true that this large-scale project of the autonomous region that can turn waste into treasure—the Liuzhou Xinneng Bio-Power Generation Co., Ltd. straw power generation project was started in the Hexi Industrial Concentration Zone in Dapu Town, Liucheng County.

This is a major project introduced by Liucheng County and promoted at the level of the autonomous region. It is also the first project in Guangxi to use straw for power generation. I heard that Liuzhou has such a good project to protect the environment and promote the development of rural economy. The former party committee secretary, Jiang Jixiong, the current vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, and Teng Chong, the deputy secretary general of the autonomous regional government, made special congratulations from Nanning. Mayor Zheng Junkang and other city leaders also came to the scene to work together with the district leaders to lay the foundation for the project.

Liucheng County is one of the cities with the most sugarcane growing in our city. About 550,000 mu of sugar cane leaves are burned every year. This wastes resources, pollutes the environment and causes fire.
