1, respiratory protection
The use of respiratory protection is one of the effective measures to prevent toxic substances from entering the body through the respiratory tract and causing occupational poisoning. Respirators are available in both filter (air-cleaning) and isolated (air-supply) types.
(1) Filter respirator
The filter-type respiratory protection product absorbs the inhaled ambient air through the functions of adsorption, absorption, catalysis, or filtration of the purification component, removes the harmful substances, and serves as a gas source for the user to breathe, mainly including a filter-type gas mask and a filter-type antivirus Masks.
The filter gas mask consists of a mask, a suction pipe and a filter canister.
Filter respirators are generally used to protect against low concentrations of toxic substances due to their small capacity.
(2) Isolated Respirator
An isolated respirator isolates the user's respiratory organs from the harmful air environment, and introduces a source of air (air-carrying or self-contained) or an air-duct (long-pipe air-supply) that is carried by itself to introduce clean air outside the operating environment for breathing. .
According to the pressure pattern inside the mask: positive pressure and negative pressure
According to the air supply gas flow: continuous air supply (only for long-pipe air supply systems), pressure demand type;
Because the A and B class respiratory protection in the emergency response operation is a positive pressure full face mask air breathing apparatus, the long tube air supply type is generally not selected. At present, China's full-scale positive pressure mask air respirator products generally implement the standard of air respirator in the fire protection industry. At present, there are also many products imported from Europe and America in emergency operations.
Escape breathing apparatus: Respiratory protection equipment that can only be used to escape from a hazardous environment in an emergency. Can be divided into filter type and air supply type.
2, skin protection
The harmful factors to the skin during the production process are physical factors, chemical factors and biological factors. Physical factors such as radioactive radiation, electrical fire, mechanical friction, etc.; chemical factors such as coal tar, petroleum fractionation products, chromium, antimony, arsenic, asbestos, etc.; biological factors such as insect bites.
Skin protection mainly relies on personal protective equipment, such as work clothes, work caps, work shoes, gloves, glasses, etc. The exposed skin needs to be coated with skin protection agent.
After the skin has been contaminated with toxic substances, it should be immediately cleaned with skin cleansing agents (eg skin cleansing liquid, skin dry cleansing cream).
3, gastrointestinal protection
Gastrointestinal protection is mainly to improve personal hygiene.
