Reasonable water management during rice filling and grain filling is an important measure to promote roots and leaves, ensure smooth filling and increase grain weight. The last water cut before harvesting should be flexibly controlled according to the specific situation. When the temperature is high during maturity, the water evaporates faster, and the sandy land with higher terrain and convenient irrigation and drainage is suitable for later water cuts. Generally, it is appropriate to cut off water 3 to 5 days before harvesting; the temperature is low during maturity and the soil is sticky. For poorly drained fields, water cuts may be appropriate earlier, and it is generally appropriate to cut off water 10 to 15 days before harvesting.
