Maers Consulting reports that the world's leading manufacturer of humidity, temperature and flow sensor solutions, Sheng Sirui, recently introduced the second-generation wafer-level chip-size package humidity sensor SHTW2. The SHTW2 is packaged in a flip-chip package. This is a mature packaging technology and one of the simplest and smallest packaging methods for semiconductor chips. The SHTW2 has a package size of only 1.3 x 0.7 x 0.5 mm3. SHTW2 has also developed a new type of ultra-small humidity sensor for the most space-constrained applications.
Based on Shengsi Rui's CMOSens® technology, the SHTW2 provides a complete single-chip sensor system with a digital I2C interface. After the sensor is calibrated, the humidity measurement range covers 0~100% RH, the temperature measurement range is -30~100 °C, and the measurement accuracy is ±3% RH and ±0.4°C. Operating at 1.8V, low power consumption makes SHTW2 ideal for demanding consumer electronics applications such as mobile phones, wearables and IoT applications. With the industry-proven quality and reliability and constant accuracy over a wide range of measurements, Shengsi Rui's humidity and temperature sensors offer an unprecedented price/performance ratio.
