How to distinguish the three elements of the integrated ceiling

Integrated ceilings have become a popular choice in kitchens and bathrooms in recent years. Unlike traditional metal or aluminum ceilings, they offer a more elegant, practical, and durable solution that blends seamlessly with modern home décor. This has made them a preferred option for many homeowners, quickly gaining popularity in the market. However, as the industry is still relatively young, with low entry barriers and growing demand, an increasing number of companies and individuals are entering the market. In Jiaxing City alone, there are over 700 integrated ceiling brands, some of which have their own intellectual property and innovation capabilities, while others simply copy or focus only on short-term profits. This has led to inconsistencies in product quality and service, making it challenging for consumers to choose wisely. To help buyers make informed decisions, we spoke with Hong Jianfeng, the Marketing Director at Qi Li Integrated Ceiling. He shared some key tips on how to evaluate the quality of an integrated ceiling: An integrated ceiling typically consists of three main modules: lighting, heating, and ventilation. Each module plays a crucial role in the overall performance and aesthetics of the product. Here’s how to distinguish between high-quality and inferior options: 1. **Lighting Module** The lighting system can come in circular or square shapes. Key factors affecting its quality include the light source, ballast, mask, and the light ring. Most manufacturers do not produce these components in-house, so the brand of the light source and ballast can be a good indicator of quality. High-end brands often use reputable suppliers like Opus, while others may use cheaper alternatives. Consumers should also check the material of the mask—glass offers better transparency but may show fingerprints, while acrylic masks vary widely in quality. A simple test is to gently scratch the light ring with a key; a good one will leave minimal marks and return to normal, while a poor one may turn black and stay that way. 2. **Heating Module** There are two types of heating systems: lamp heating and air heating. The most common type today uses PTC technology. The quality of the PTC unit is critical, as well as the terminal connections. High-quality units use pure copper terminals, while lower-quality ones may use galvanized or even copper-plated parts. Additionally, the presence of a silicone insulation layer between units is a sign of better construction. Qi Li, for example, uses a patented venting hood to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption. 3. **Ventilation Module** Noise and vibration are common issues with ventilation fans. To avoid this, look for models with shock-absorbing features. Also, check the durability of the fan housing—high-quality units can withstand pressure from people standing on them, while cheaper ones may easily deform or break. By paying attention to these details, consumers can make smarter choices when selecting an integrated ceiling that meets their needs and lasts for years.
