In the case where the flat polishing apparatus is thin to the metal, the hardness is low, and the workpiece is brittle, the metal workpiece can be easily deformed and collapsed. This situation is also a common problem in polishing and polishing, and one of the most headaches.

The most fundamental reason for these problems is that the thickness of the workpiece is too small, some are only a few millimeters, and the workpiece is very soft and brittle. Soft workpieces are easily deformed after polishing, and brittle workpieces tend to collapse and break during polishing. How to put an end to this problem requires the technical content of our flat polishing equipment to be very high, to solve the problem of polishing and grinding solutions for ultra-thin metal workpieces. The polishing process should also be reasonable and precise.

There are two common methods for polishing and grinding metal workpieces: one is to grind the circumferential surface of the grinding wheel on the horizontal grinding machine on the horizontal axis of the polishing machine; the other is to use the end face of the grinding wheel on the vertical grinding machine on the vertical axis of the vertical table. When the grinding wheel is ground on the circumferential surface of the grinding wheel, the contact area between the grinding wheel and the workpiece is small, and the coolant supply during grinding is sufficient. The chip removal condition is good, and the grinding force and grinding heat generated during grinding are also small. Therefore, it is beneficial to the grinding precision of the workpiece. This kind of grinding method is suitable for grinding a variety of plane workpieces, and can obtain high flatness and smoothness. Therefore, the horizontal axis rectangular table flat polishing machine is used for grinding. The characteristics of a thin plate workpiece é’Š a pair of thin plate workpieces, some measures can be taken to reduce the deformation of the workpiece due to heat or force during grinding.
To solve the problem of polishing and grinding solutions for ultra-thin metal workpieces, it is necessary to pay attention to:
1. When grinding, take a small amount of knife and a higher longitudinal speed of the table.
2. When grinding, the white corundum grinding wheel with lower hardness, larger grain size and loose structure should be selected for grinding, and the grinding wheel should be trimmed in time. This is because the grinding wheel has low hardness, the grinding wheel is white and dynamic, and the grinding wheel has good white sharp performance. The grinding blade has sharp cutting edge, so the grinding force is small and the grinding temperature is low: the granularity is large, the structure is loose, and the grinding wheel has large space for chipping. Blocking, the grinding temperature is low. As the grinding time increases, the abrasive grains are blunt, the chip space is also reduced, the heat generation is increased, the grinding temperature is increased, the grinding wheel must be trimmed, and the blunt cut is performed after trimming. The abrasive grains and the blocking layer keep the sharpness of the grinding wheel. Otherwise, the passivation and blockage of the grinding wheel will form a grinding high temperature, causing defects such as burns and cracks on the workpiece.
3. The upper process (such as turning, planing and milling) before grinding processing should strictly guarantee the accuracy requirements of the plane. If necessary, the leveling process can be increased. 4. When cutting, sufficient cutting fluid should be supplied to improve the grinding. The cutting fluid has not only cooling effect, but also lubrication, flushing and rust prevention.

Fixing method for reducing deformation of workpiece force
1. If the two planes require high precision, a thin layer of linoleum cloth or nylon cloth can be placed between the electromagnetic chuck and the workpiece, which can reduce the magnetic force on the workpiece and avoid deformation.
2. Applying white wax: Apply a layer of white wax on the surface of the warped part of the workpiece, then rub it on the old grinding wheel, so that the white wax on the convex part of the workpiece is ground, and the white wax on the concave part is smoothed, and the plane positioning is clamped on the electromagnetic chuck. On the upper surface, the first plane is ground, and the second surface is grounded on the basis of the ground plane, so that the surface grinding can be repeated.
3. Pad elastic gasket: pad a thin layer of rubber pad (0.5~3mm) or a sponge pad with dense holes between the workpiece and the electromagnetic chuck. The compressibility of the elastic gasket is used to reduce the elastic deformation of the workpiece, and the ground workpiece is relatively straight. The workpiece is repeatedly ground several times, and the workpiece can be directly sucked onto the electromagnetic chuck after the flatness of the workpiece is improved.
4. Pad paper: first place the workpiece on the flat plate, check and confirm the two sides of the concave and convex, and use the paper pad to make the positioning reference plane flat and place it on the electromagnetic chuck, so that the first plane that is ground is relatively flat. Then grind the polished surface directly on the electromagnetic chuck to grind another plane, so that it can be repeatedly turned and ground.

Polishing and Grinding Solution in Fine Grinding In order to further improve the processing accuracy of the flat surface, a thin layer of oil can be applied to the electromagnetic chuck, and the viscosity of the oil can be used to closely attach the workpiece to the electromagnetic chuck, and the grinding wheel for grinding is also used. It should not be too wide to reduce the pressure of the grinding wheel on the workpiece and the grinding heat. The width of the grinding wheel is generally chosen to be around 20mm, and the number of light grinding (also known as non-radial feed grinding) is increased.

Polishing and Grinding Solution Care should be taken to grind the crack when grinding the workpiece. During the grinding process, when the residual tensile stress exceeds the strength limit of the workpiece material, cracks will appear on the surface of the workpiece. The grinding crack is extremely shallow and sometimes difficult to find. These tiny cracks can only be found during polishing or use. Under the action of alternating load, these tiny cracks rapidly expand, causing the damage of the workpiece. In the final analysis, this phenomenon is completely caused by the excessive temperature difference of the mountain workpiece. Therefore, reducing the temperature difference during the grinding of the workpiece is an important way to improve the grinding quality. .

In summary, to reduce and eliminate the deformation of the ultra-thin and fragile items, the result of the polishing and grinding solution is: the pressure on the workpiece needs to be reduced, but the surface precision is guaranteed. It is also necessary to use a cooling device during the polishing process to reduce the damage of the workpiece to high temperatures. At the same time, the design of the plane polishing machine should be more reasonable, and some configuration improvements should be made for the ultra-thin workpiece.
