Electric actuator failure analysis

a Electric actuator often occurs in the work of the power fuse is blown or the current meter no indication of the phenomenon, but sometimes the actuator motor does not rotate the problem. After analysis, the reasons for this phenomenon are as follows.

1, the fuse is blown and the power meter has no indication

1) Most of the implementing agencies are working in a place where the environment is harsh, dust is heavy, and water is leaking. It is easy to deposit dust and dirt between the two legs of the power plugs 13 and 14, that is, an external “additional resistance” is formed between the two pins of the power plugs 13 and 14, and the power supply is short-circuited; The fuse causes the fuse to burn out; sometimes the actuator inside the capacitor (such as the commutator capacitor of the actuator motor) is de-energized, and the housing is connected to the case to form a power ground and blow the fuse.

2) The blades and casing of the fan have a card, or the rusty parts of the moving parts of the fan, or the transmission gear inside the actuator, etc., will cause the friction to increase and cause the output power of the actuator to reach the limit, because the current increases. Burn the fuse.

3) There is a problem with the actuator or the transmission line. At this point, you can unplug the measuring plug of the actuator to check if it is an internal or transmission line problem. If the plug is unplugged, the fuse is no longer burned out, that is, there is a problem inside. Otherwise, the transmission line may have a problem. It is likely that the cable near the plug is wet, causing the power supply lead to short circuit here.

4) Aging of the plastic on the actuator socket causes poor short circuit to ground due to poor insulation. In this case, if the actuator is disassembled into the instrument room, no problem will be found during the calibration. This is because the instrument room has insulating rubber on the desktop so that it cannot be shorted to ground. At the scene, if the actuator is placed on the bracket only and is disconnected from the fan, then the fuse is connected. If it is not burned out, the insulation of the socket and the case can be measured with a rocker to determine whether the plastic on the socket is aging.

5) The power meter has no indication. Most of these are the rectifiers or rectifier tubes inside the actuator that are burned out, sometimes due to poor soldering or contact.

2, troubleshooting and maintenance

For 1) in the previous section, first use alcohol to clean the plug. It is best to cover the actuator housing with plastic cloth on site to prevent dust from intruding inside and prevent rain from splashing on the actuator. On the socket, for the capacitor that is charged with the outer shell and is in contact with the outer skin, it can be taped with an electrical tape to insulate it from the outer shell. Of course, new capacitors can also be replaced.

For the 3) in the previous section, the cable should be dismantled immediately or unplugged with the signal plug wire wrapped in yellow tarpaulin, find the power cable connector, and re-wrapping. If the signal cable is wet or burnt, it should be cleaned and then put into use. If the socket plastic ages, it should be replaced in time.

For the 4) in the previous section, promptly check and replace the damaged parts.

In addition, in some occasions where the accuracy is not very high, an inexpensive differential pressure transmitter can be used instead of an expensive differential pressure transmitter to save money. However, the following two points must be taken into account during actual actions:

&S226; need to use high-precision transmitter;

b. The actual measurement of the liquid level range and the minimum range ratio of the selected transmitter should not be too small, so as to avoid large measurement errors due to excessive K-values.
